In February 2011, the Benetton family announced it would withdraw support for professional basketball. Efforts by former players to create a new club, Treviso Basket 2012, failed to secure a place in Serie A. Since then, Pallacanestro Treviso has focused solely on youth development, with the Under 17 squad as its most senior team. Professional basketball in Treviso is now represented by Universo Treviso Basket, which plays in the Lega Basket Serie A as of April 2022.
